Product Description: The PTFE double-layer seam wrapped O-ring is made of PTFE polytetrafluoroethylene sheet wrapped on a silicone or fluororubber core through a special process, with two layers inside and outside, and the circumferential seams staggered by 180 °.
Main advantages:
1. PTFE has strong drug resistance and universality, and is almost applicable to all chemical media. At normal operating temperatures, PTFE is only corroded by a few chemicals. Here are only listed incompatible chemicals, such as some metal strong bases, fluorine, and some halides that are incompatible with PTFE.
2. Temperature applicable range -60 ℃~260 ℃, can be used for a short period of time at a high temperature of 300 ℃
3. The presence of PTFE outer coating with good compression resistance makes RD31 have good resistance to hardening and brittleness, while the silicone rubber or fluororubber core allows RD31 to maintain good elasticity at high temperatures of 205 ℃. The test results show that the RD31 sealing ring formed by combining the physical properties of silicone rubber or fluororubber with the chemical properties of PTFE not only maintains rubber properties, but also has good compression resistance.
4. Due to its extremely low friction coefficient (0.29), PTFE has become a type of O-ring family with low friction force, which greatly helps and supports reducing equipment wear, improving equipment power and efficiency.
5. It can withstand high pressure up to 35Mpa, and it is recommended to use a retaining ring type pressure ring for pressures above 5 Mpa.
6. Excellent sealing durability and long service life RD31 has unparalleled sealing performance and long service life compared to any other rubber or pure PTFE O-ring, especially when used in harsh media.
